Not too long ago in a land not too far away, a wish was born. The wish was to bring fantasy and imagination to those young, and young at heart, and to provide an opportunity for the community to interact with the most beloved fantasy characters.
Looking Glass Friends Entertainment was created to offer a chance to interact, learn, and play with a variety of characters throughout Chicagoland . We do our best to promote the importance of love, kindness, acceptance, and dreams. Our goal is spark the imagination, creativity, wonder, and curiosity of the child who lives in all of us.
We are well known for our attention to quality , professionalism, creativity, and enthusiasm for bringing these characters to life. Each performer uses their talent to engage guests in storytelling, singing, dancing, crafts, games and more. Each character has their own special presentation which is themed to their story so every character visit is unique! We wish to engage guests by stimulating imagination and learning while presented in a theatrical way which will have everyone believing in once upon a time.
The funds provided to us by private events stay within the organization to help fund the appearances offered to hospitals, schools, libraries, and other non-for-profit organizations.
There is magic which lives in all of us and your opportunity to invite a bit of fantasy to your next event is only a wish away!

Our Cast
Kathryn
Kathryn has always lived in the Chicago area but has dreamed of far away places, chasing white rabbits, and pixie dust. With two Bachelor of Science degrees and a Master of Arts in Counseling already to her credit, she is currently finishing her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in working with children and adolescents. She has performed in theatre productions for 15 years including dramatic, comedic, and musical roles. She studied theatre performance at Loyola University Chicago and the Center of Visual and Performing Arts, as well as being trained in improvisation. She has also studied musical theatre, swing, and ballroom style dance. She has been trained and competed in classical and musical style vocal performance in both regional and state competitions. She hopes to continue to promote the power of young minds by embracing the wonder of imagination through her work with Looking Glass Friends Entertainment.

Allison
Allison is overjoyed and honored to join the magic of Looking Glass Friends Entertainment! Allison grew up in the Chicagoland area singing along to princess cassette tapes, dancing in ballet classes, and traveling to imaginary lands with her sister. She graduated from Illinois State University with a B.S. in Theatre-Acting and English Studies and is currently pursuing an acting career in Chicago. Allison loves to sing, dance, and be silly, having taken several years of voice lessons, dance classes, and some improvisation classes. She is passionate about theatre outreach and has volunteered as a summer camp theatre teacher with K-8th campers, has taught Shakespeare workshops with 6th and 7th graders with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, and has served on Illinois State Theatre Outreach Program committee. Allison had been an Illinois State Playback Theatre ensemble member and performed at monthly workshops with the Bloomington Boys and Girls club, retelling audience members’ stories through improvisation, and she hopes to bring Chicagoans together to share their stories by helping start a Chicago Playback company. With Looking Glass Friends Entertainment, Allison can’t wait to help children and families come together and create lifelong memories through magical experiences!

Grant
Grant Fitch is an award-winning amateur actor and a professional storyteller, performing in schools and libraries across Indiana and Illinois for 15 years. A former teacher and children’s librarian, Grant enjoys reminding children and adults of the wonders of reading, and the great stories to be found in books. His love of fairy tales dates back to his mother reading him Peter Pan when he was young – and he reads all the classics to his own daughters today. This energetic actor has starred in “Charlie Brown,” “Dracula,” and “Mary Poppins,” and loves sharing the stories of Winnie the Pooh and Dr Seuss. He’s well-known for his annual one-man performance of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” and is thrilled to be part of the Looking Glass family! Anastasia
Anastasia is a recent graduate of Millikin University where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre. She has been seen in several regional musical productions and is moving to Chicago to pursue her theatre career. Anastasia is thrilled to be a part of the Looking Glass Friends family. She adores performing and making children smile, so to be able to do both at the same time is a dream come true!

Jane
Jane, a native to the Chicagoland area, is thrilled to be joining the Looking Glass Friends cast. She received her BM in Vocal Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and pursued graduate studies at NYU. Having come from classical, dance, and musical theater backgrounds, Jane has performed in a wide array of venues and productions. Jane loves working with children, as well, and enjoys opening their eyes to musical magic. She is excited to share her dreams, while making the dreams of others come true!

Rachelyn
Being a part of Looking Glass Friends Entertainment is a dream come true for Rachelyn. Ever since she can remember, she was immersed into the magical world of Fairy Tales. Originally from North Carolina, she moved to Chicago to pursue a music career upon graduating with a degree in Voice Performance. In addition to performing with LGFE, she performs as Farmhand Rosie with a the beloved children's music artist, Miss Jamie from the Farm. While pursuing her dreams, Rachelyn holds fast to the lessons taught by her favorite fairy tale characters: Dreams do come true. Jennifer
Jennifer began performing at the age of four and has been on stage singing, dancing (tap, jazz, ballet), and acting ever since. She holds a BFA in theatre performance from UIC and has performed in well over 50 productions (theatre/musical theatre) throughout the Chicagoland area. Recently, she has taken her talents in a different direction as the lead singer of a rock cover band. During the day, she works in an elementary school, assisting in the education of students with special needs as well as students in the general education population. While she enjoys being surrounded with children every day, she particularly delights in working on the school's annual musical production, as it allows her the opportunity to pass the love of theatre on to her students. She has always adored Disney, princesses, and fairy tales and remained a firm believer that dreams do come true. She is overjoyed to now share the magic of Looking Glass Friends Entertainment with children and families.

Elisabeth has experienced a true fairytale since marrying her prince. Not only is she a freelance photographer with a passion for capturing life's special moments and memories, but she also has a passion for music. Elisabeth has studied both music and English Education. Now she is a teacher opening the minds of children and adolescents to allow them to experience all the wonders literature and writing has to offer.
